Items that aren’t easy to move

Most people know how difficult it is moving house. This is especially the case if you are moving abroad or just far away. Some things, whether they are part of a house move or not, are notoriously difficult to move.

From being physically difficult to move to having to go through a lot of paperwork, there are several reasons why something might be tough to take from one location to another. In most of these cases, planning beforehand can make the whole process of moving them so much easier for you.

Here are just a few examples of stuff you might own that is difficult to move.

Your pets

Having pets can make any moving situation a lot trickier. Not only do you have to factor them into moving but they also need to get used to the new place.

Dogs will likely not feel comfortable until they have got used to the smell of the new place and cats have to be kept in for a while. If you’re moving abroad with a pet, there is so much to think about as you have to take into consideration the various laws of the country you’re leaving and the country you’re moving to.

A tree

If you’ve planted a tree in your garden and want to place it in your new one, this can be a bit of a risk. It’s normal to grow attached to something that’s been in your life for a long time. If you’ve put in a tree that you’ve then watched grow over the years, why wouldn’t you take it with you if possible?

Moving a tree from one location to another can be difficult though and does come with its risks. The tree might not like its new home and suffer because of it. This isn’t even mentioning the work it takes to dig it up and transport it properly.

If you’re willing to take this risk though, and the tree does well in its new home, you can continue to watch it grow from your new place.

A boat

If you’re lucky enough to own a boat, you might know how difficult it can be to move it. For something that’s designed to travel, it’s ironic that moving them can be a tricky task.

While moving it via the waters is a little easier, anytime it needs to come on land can add a lot of work. It’s for this reason that getting the right boat transport from can make a difference to the overall task of boat transport.

Moving the stuff you love here, there and everywhere can be difficult at the best of times, let alone when it’s an antique. It’s rare to make it through a moving day without at least one broken item but the pressure really amps up when it comes to those valuable pieces.

Taking extra care on the big day, and maybe moving them separately is a great way to reduce the risk of any potential breakage.
